What is Forest Therapy?
A Pathway to Wellness and Connection
Rooted in the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku—meaning “taking in the forest atmosphere”—forest therapy or "forest bathing" is a growing global wellness movement supported by nearly 40 years of scientific research. Immersing yourself in nature offers profound holistic benefits, including reduced stress and blood pressure, enhanced creativity and focus, improved mood and sleep, and a strengthened immune system. Beyond these health benefits, forest bathing provides an opportunity to reconnect with the Earth, restoring our relationship with the natural world for the well-being of all life.

• Forest therapy IS a mindful, community-oriented experience among the trees.
• Duration: 2 hours.
• Distance: 1 mile or less over gentle terrain.
What will we do?
• Gentle mindful movement sequences.
• A sensory awareness meditation.
• A slow-paced walk with invitations to connect with the natural world.
